An Artistic Glimpse on English Learning through iEARN Projects

Abstract

        This paper addresses the application of the newly-developing learning strategies,  International Project-based Learning in Taiwan English learning context.  With living samples of iEARN projects, PBL is further portrayed vividly.  Inspired by this international educational trend, several Taiwan English teachers have accumulated several applicable teaching plans for English learning contexts for the past 4 to 5 years.  In particular, several projects are proved to be very popular with the help of arts.

        With the step-by-step detailed demonstration, it is hoped that English teachers can shed some light to apply this new teaching strategy to English teaching.  Meanwhile, a brief introduction about iEARN (International Educational And Resource Network, http://www.iearn.org) is introduced, which is regarded as one of the most active international PBL learning community.
