More about iEARN Taiwan

 

iEARN Taiwan (International Education Resource Network in Taiwan) is a legally registered non-profit educational organization recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior. Since its establishment in May 2001, it has been led by a committed team of volunteer educators who actively promote global collaboration and innovative learning.

The organization links a nationwide network of K–12 schools and universities, providing a platform for international project-based learning (PBL) and cross-cultural exchange through Information and Communication Technology (ICT). iEARN Taiwan is committed to playing a vital role in empowering students and educators with the skills, mindset, and global awareness needed to engage responsibly in today’s interconnected world. Up to 2024, it has collaborated with schools in over 1,285 instances, involving more than 35,860 teacher and student participants.

Through global partnerships, iEARN Taiwan empowers educators to design meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with real-world challenges. These projects encourage students to develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while igniting their interest in global issues and intercultural understanding.  By bridging Taiwan’s schools with the international iEARN community, the organization nurtures globally competent youth ready to contribute to a more just, sustainable, and connected world.

  

The role of iEARN Taiwan

1. We link a nationwide network of K–12 schools and universities with global partners through Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

2. We empower educators with professional development, and engaing Project-Based Learning (PBL) mindset in classroom.

3. We encourage youth joining iEARN community and collaborating with global partners to make a difference in the world.

 

Services Provided by iEARN Taiwan

1. Valuable Project Selections:  There are 30 to 40 projects provided and primarily categorized into three major scopes: Language Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science; which meet various choices in global collaborations.

2. Project-Based Learning Programs with Global Partners:  Through international cooperation, educators are empowered to design meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with real-world challenges. Meanwhile, these projects encourage students to develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while igniting their interest in global issues and intercultural understanding.

3. Learning from the World and stay in sync with the world: Global connecting modernizes our education.

4. Make a difference in the world:  By bridging Taiwan’s schools with the international community, iEARN Taiwan nurtures globally competent educators, youth and parents to contribute to a better world.
